Sunday and the tape is completely dead

Sunday afternoon and the tape is completely dead. No fresh headlines, no surprise geopolitical sparks, nothing that would force anyone to adjust positions before Monday.

US and Indian markets are closed, so the June 5 closes are still the last word. Commodities and crypto have barely budged either. Crude sitting around $90.54, gold near $4,331, Bitcoin holding $60,570. All of it feels like it’s just marking time.

Normally a weekend like this would have people scanning for any stray comment out of DC or the Middle East, but the last hour has turned up zero. That absence itself can matter. When there’s no catalyst, the next session often opens with whatever positioning was left on Friday. If the big players were already light into the weekend, we could see a slow drift rather than any sharp move.

The quiet also leaves room for the usual Monday open anxiety. Without new data, the focus shifts straight to how much of last week’s tape people still believe. Anyone else noticing the complete lack of noise, or am I just staring at a blank screen?
